has job opportunities for diligent and self-motivated individuals needed to fill the following vacancies
available on our expanding network and nodes in Blantyre, Lilongwe or Mzuzu that operate reliably

| VACANCY: ASSISTANT NETWORK ENGINEERS | |||
| QUALIFICATIONS: At least a bachelor degree majoring in computer science, information technology,
electrical or telecommunications engineering or equivalent from a recognised institution. DUTIES: The incumbents will be responsible for development, installation and maintenance of Malawi SDNP Internet network including hardware, software, servers, services and client systems, for manning the help desk, for user support and for any other tasks relevant to the programme as specified by the SDNP Coordinator. The duty station will be at Malawi SDNP nodes and offices in either Blantyre, Lilongwe or Mzuzu. | |||
| VACANCY: INTERNET NETWORK TECHNICIAN | |||
| QUALIFICATIONS: At least a Diploma in Computer Science, Information Technology or equivalent,
obtained after a pass in Malawi School Certificate of Education (MSCE). DUTIES: To provide technical support, assistance and services to Malawi SDNP engineers and clients in the development, installation, maintenance and support of the Malawi SDNP Internet network, its services and its clients. | |||
| VACANCY: NETWORK ENGINEER | |||
| QUALIFICATIONS: Bachelor degree majoring in computer science, electrical or telecommunications
engineering or equivalent from a recognised institution. EXPERIENCE: At least two years of relevant experience in an assistant network engineer or similar position. Applicants with postgraduate qualifications, with good experience on UNIX, networks, wireless, Internet, programming or electronics will have added advantages. DUTIES: The incumbent will be expected to be able to carry out any of the activities of assistant network engineers. He/she will also be responsible for training and supervision of technical and engineering staff, for user support and helpdesk, for design, development, installation, maintenance of Malawi SDNP Internet networks, computers, software, services, servers, client systems and for any other relevant tasks as assigned by the SDNP Coordinator. | |||
| VACANCY: INFORMATION SPECIALIST | |||

QUALIFICATIONS: At least a bachelor degree majoring in computer science, electrical or telecommunications
engineering or equivalent from a recognised institution. Applicants with a higher degree and with good
experience on UNIX, networks, Internet, wireless, programming for networks or electronics
will have added advantages. EXPERIENCE: At least three years of relevant experience in a similar position. DUTIES: This is a senior position. The incumbent will be expected to be able to carry out any of the activities of network engineers under the supervision of the Malawi SDNP Coordinator. He/she will also be responsible for training and supervision of technical and engineering staff, for user support and helpdesk, for research, design, development, installation, management and maintenance on Malawi SDNP Internet networks, computers, software, services, servers, client systems and for any other relevant tasks as assigned by the SDNP Coordinator. | |||
| VACANCY: ACCOUNTANT | |||

QUALIFICATIONS: At least a university degree in accounting or commerce from a recognised institution.
Applicants with additional qualifications in computers studies, spreadsheets, marketing, automated
billing systems or Internet services will have added advantages. DUTIES: The SDNP Accountant will responsible for management of accounts, reports, billing, debt collection and business planning. The incumbent will also be expected to assist with manning the busy Malawi SDNP helpdesk, with development of Information services on the Internet network and any other relevant tasks as assigned by the SDNP Coordinator. | |||
| VACANCY: DRIVER | |||

QUALIFICATIONS: At least an MSCE and a valid clean driving licence. Applicants with a certificate in motor
vehicle repair, computers, art or journalism studies and good experience with computers or networks
will have added advantages. DUTIES: The incumbent will work under the supervision of the Malawi SDNP Administrative Assistant and will be mainly responsible for driving and maintaining Malawi SDNP vehicles and any other relevant tasks as assigned by the Malawi SDNP Coordinator. | |||
